What everyone can see

Every active link’s short URL, destination URL, title, creation date and expiration date are public. Other people and search engines may copy them; removal from il5.me cannot remove copies held by third parties.

What stays private

We collect your full name, email and phone to administer registrations, verify email ownership, respond to service issues and manage abuse. These fields are required to register; you can browse without providing them. We also keep agreement and marketing-consent records, payment transaction references, aggregate click counts, temporary security rate-limit records and administrative audit records. Verification and removal tokens are stored as hashes; pending mail is encrypted and its body is erased after sending.

What we do not store

We do not store destination pages, images, videos or downloaded files. Only a small in-memory title lookup is performed. We do not receive or store payment-card details, and we do not maintain individual visitor click histories. Aggregate redirect counts do not identify visitors. Launch referral pages also count page loads by calendar day and a fixed source label, without storing IP addresses, user agents, cookies or visitor identifiers. These counts are not unique people and may include unrecognized bots.

Cookies and service providers

Necessary cookies support secure forms, payment continuity and administrator sessions. A verified browser session also hides the optional Espresso support link while you have an active paid registration. A new browser or expired session will show the link until you restore access with your registration ID and private removal code. Cloudflare provides tunneling, security and Turnstile bot checks; it processes technical request data. PayPal processes payments under its own privacy terms. Our configured mail provider delivers service and opted-in promotional emails. Providers may process data outside Israel under their applicable arrangements. We do not sell registration information.

Optional analytics and advertising

When enabled, optional analytics and advertising providers require your choice through our consent platform. Rejecting them does not affect your access to the service. Our essential-cookie notice does not grant optional consent. Visit Cookie settings for the currently enabled services, storage details and controls to change or withdraw consent. Sponsored and affiliate cards are labeled; they do not load tracking scripts here, and we may receive a commission after a purchase on a partner site.

Retention

Unverified registration contact details are cleared after seven days. Pending verification tokens expire after 24 hours. Temporary rate-limit data is removed after expiry; sent-email records are removed after 30 days. Verified contact details and operational records are kept while needed to operate links, address disputes, prevent abuse and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Backup copies follow the backup retention schedule. Request deletion or correction by contacting the operator; legal or security requirements may limit immediate deletion.

Ads and promotions are your choice

The promotional-email checkbox is optional and off by default. Your choice is recorded with a date and terms version. Every promotional email identifies the sender and includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe stops queued and future marketing; essential verification and service messages are separate. A suppression record is retained to honor your choice.

Your requests

Contact [email protected] to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, withdraw marketing consent, or raise a privacy concern. We may ask for proportionate verification to protect your data. Use self-removal to remove a link immediately if you have its private code.

External destinations

Following a short link takes you to another website with its own privacy and security practices. il5.me does not control that website. Check the public destination before visiting.
