Your agreement

By submitting a link and accepting these terms, you request the limited, revocable use of il5.me to create a public short URL. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. You retain responsibility for the URLs you submit and for your use of the service.

Public listing

All active link metadata is public: short URL, destination title, source URL, creation date, expiration date and optional non-content operational data. Anyone can view, copy or index this information. Do not submit confidential URLs, authentication tokens, private documents or links you are not entitled to share. Your name, email, phone and private removal code are not published in the directory.

User-generated links and external content

Links are submitted by users. We do not author, control, endorse or guarantee the linked websites, their content, legality, safety, accuracy or availability. Destinations can change after submission. You access them at your own discretion and risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Guy Dresher and il5.me accept no responsibility for user-generated links, linked content or losses arising from visits to external sites.

No destination content storage

il5.me does not host or archive destination website content. It stores URLs, titles, creation and expiration dates, and optional non-content metadata. A title lookup temporarily reads bounded page data in memory and discards it. Separate private registration details, consent records, payment references and security records are stored to operate the service, as described in the Privacy Notice. PayPal handles payment-card information.

Acceptable use

Do not submit illegal material, malware, phishing, fraud, abusive or exploitative content, infringing links, unsolicited spam, or links intended to evade access controls. Do not impersonate others, probe private networks, bypass safeguards, disrupt the service, or use automation to exhaust addresses. We may reject, disable or remove links and suspend users for abuse, legal requests or security reasons.

Addresses, expiration and removal

A short address is temporary, not property you own. Automatic allocation uses the lowest available permitted address. Reservations expire if verification is not completed within 24 hours. Links stop working at expiration or removal. Freed addresses may be assigned to another destination, including one unrelated to the original owner. Keep your removal code private; possession of it and the registration ID authorizes removal. We may require proof of ownership for recovery requests.

Prices and payments

Up to one calendar month is free. A longer custom date costs US$2.50 per additional month or part, calculated from registration time and displayed before checkout. Custom dates end at 23:59:59 in Asia/Jerusalem. Maximum duration is five years. Payments are one-time, in USD, through PayPal, with no automatic renewal. PayPal or your bank may apply conversion or other fees. A paid link activates only after email verification and confirmed payment.

Cancellations and refunds

You may remove a link at any time. Removal alone does not initiate a refund. Contact [email protected] with your registration ID and PayPal transaction reference for billing errors, failed activation, duplicate payments or cancellation/refund requests. Requests are assessed under applicable consumer law. Nothing here excludes mandatory cancellation, refund or other statutory rights.

Availability and liability limits

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability, a particular short address or protection against every harmful destination. To the extent allowed by law, we exclude indirect or consequential losses. These terms do not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Email choices

Email verification and necessary service notices are part of operating your link. Ads and promotions require a separate, optional consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in any promotional email without canceling your short link.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be published with an effective date; they do not remove accrued statutory rights. For questions or reports, use Report a link or email [email protected].
